Cover Love: A Girl Like That by Tanaz Bhathena

I had to scroll back a little to find this one because I added it a long time ago. It's about a car crash in Saudi Arabia. About two dead teenagers and the true story behind the rumors. The cover was just revealed, and I'm already obsessed. Girl-on-face-covers with random white girls have been overdone; make way for the POC girls, because they're rocking it. The cover model exudes cool. She's fashionable. She doesn't give a shit what you think because she's got her own thing going. The soft pink of her hijab and bright pink lipstick contrast strikingly with the blue-green lenses (and give a peek into her world). The text overlays her image without fighting for dominance. She's a girl like that...and she's not going to hide. It also reminds me of Norwegian Wood...coincidence? 

A great choice for #MissionMuslimPreorder!
