1. | Caraval / Stephanie Garber - One of my favorite books, and the UK paperback cover actually hits all three parts of the American flag on its spine. (I lied, I thought of one.)
2. | The Dream Thieves / Maggie Stiefvater - Another favorite that hits the right color palette. This is book 2 in the Raven Cycle, and probably my favorite due to the inclusion of a certain Mr Kavinsky who drives fast cars and blows shit up. As with Caraval, the spine is where the red/white/blue really pops.
3. | This Mortal Coil / Emily Suveda - Don't sleep on this book, as the kids say. Seriously. That bright red burst cover is the gateway to a near-future world where genetic engineering has gone viral. Literally. One genius girl stands between humanity and an explosive super-germ.
4. | An Unkindness of Magicians / Kat Howard - I haven't read this one yet, but the blurb and the Gaiman endorsement were pretty much all I needed to TBR it. NYC run by magic? A girl trying to destroy it? Squee! Plus, look at that gorgeous white-white cover.
5. | A Curse So Dark and Lonely / Brigid Kemmerer - I freaking loved her hate-to-love unknown identity romance Letters to the Lost, so I'm eager to see about her foray into fantasy. Modern day Beauty and the Beast with dual POVs, and a stormy blue cover that I love to ogle.
